What you can practice here

Free Poker USA is a single-player browser game with no download or required signup. A fresh practice table starts with 2,000 play chips per seat and 10/20 blinds. Those chips have no cash value.

Practice is the forgiving mode: if your stack reaches zero, the game offers an explicitly free refill. The Cup is separate and has no rebuys.

Meet your five computer opponents

  • Finn, the caller: a looser, less aggressive profile.
  • Iris, the patient one: a tighter profile.
  • June, the all-rounder: the middle-ground profile.
  • Leo, the aggressor: more inclined to bet and raise.
  • Max, the wild card: a looser profile with more bluffing.

These are programmed tendencies, not guarantees about the next action. The bots use their own cards and the public board to estimate hand strength; they do not read your private cards. They are not human players or poker coaches.

Choose a useful difficulty

Table settings offer Casual, Regular, and Sharp. They change bot decision calculations, not the deck or the hand-ranking rules. Start with Casual if the controls are new, then try Regular when reading the board feels comfortable.

Sharp uses more hand-strength simulations and a different betting profile. It is not a solver, and beating it does not establish that you can beat real-money opponents.

Give your next hand a purpose

  1. Position check: find the dealer button before acting. After the flop, notice who acts before you.
  2. Cost check: read the call cost and your remaining balance before tapping.
  3. Board check: after the river, name your best five cards before looking at the result.

Use the rules walkthrough for table orientation, the hand trainer for recognition, and fixed puzzles for comparing winners. Keep your goal small enough to explain afterward.

Know what “saved” means

The game uses browser-local progress and a browser-linked server save. Watch the save status before leaving; if a connection fails, don’t assume the server has your newest hand.

Use Backup / restore to export a save code before switching browsers or devices. Optional prototype accounts do not provide email recovery or cross-device game sync. Save codes are editable, not secure competitive proof; don’t post your personal save code publicly.

You can pause during play and return to a saved seat. Clearing site data or losing a browser identity may prevent recovery without a backup. Read privacy and storage for the practical limits.
